WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Join us for a fun evening of sewing with a purpose. Come together with local sewists to create zippered shoulder bags for people experiencing homelessness in our area. These bags will provide a safe, hands-free way to secure and carry essential items. The Tucker Optimist Club will fill the bags with useful items and share them with those in need.

WHO?
Beginners to seasoned sewists are welcome! This is a social event and not a class. Participants must know how to operate a sewing machine and follow a very easy sewing pattern. Experience installing zippers is a plus, but not a requirement.

WHAT TO BRING?
Sewing machine and empty bobbin
**Easy Going Sewing has sewing machines available to rent for $15.
Sewing scissors
Pins and/or clips
Zipper foot for your machine
Pack of size 14-16 universal sewing machine needles. (We will be working with heavier fabrics and metal zippers.)
