Learn to reuse and repurpose by upcycling an old sweatshirt. You will go home with your own one-of-a-kind sweatshirt, plus new skills for transforming clothing in creative ways!

Skills you’ll learn: How to cut and rework a sweatshirt, using a variety of upcycling techniques.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. This is an advanced beginner level class.
2. You MUST know how to operate a sewing machine to take this class. This class is for sewists who are comfortable using a sewing machine and have some sewing experience.
3. You MUST have taken our Learn to Sew 101-103 classes or have the equivalent skills.

SUPPLIES REQUIRED:

Student MUST bring ALL of the following items:

1. A sweatshirt or hoodie. One that fits, or is too big on you is best for this class.
2. Fabric Scissors/Shears
3. Sewing machine (but you are welcome to bring your own)
4. Pins and clips

SUPPLIES INCLUDED:

1. Thread
2. Proper sewing needle
3. Scrap fabric and other supplies to choose from
4. Sewing machine (but you are welcome to bring your own)
