About the Class
Make a lined bucket hat!
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Sewing 101 thru103 or equivalent skills. You must be familiar with operating a sewing machine and sewing a straight and curved seam to take this class. Instructor will not have time for teaching basic sewing machine operation.

SUPPLY LIST and CLASS PREPARATION:
Student MUST supply ALL of the following items:
BEFORE CLASS print out the pattern pieces and instructions for your bucket hat at https://sweetredpoppy.com/free-reversible-bucket-hat-sewing-pattern/. This is a free pattern.
Cut out your hat and lining using the pattern pieces. Remember to cut your fabric out on grain, as you learned in Sewing 102 and 103. I HIGHLY recommend you preshrink your fabric by machine washing and drying your fabric before cutting it out.
1/2 yard of woven fabric for outer bag. Suggested fabrics: quilting cotton, lightweight denim or corduroy, chambray, light to medium weight upholstery fabric
1/2 yard of fabric for bag lining. Suggested fabrics: quilting cotton or other lightweight cotton.
Matching Thread
DO NOT bring a stretchy or slippery fabric for any part of this hat.
INCLUDED:
Sewing machine, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Scissors, but you may bring your own.
